Happy Women's History Month! As this month comes to a close, I want to use this blog to highlight that the need for women's empowerment and the illumination of inspirational, often overlooked women in history past just this one month in the year.
Thus, I wanted to take this post to overview my next steps on this blog as well as the existing features I have created to further this message.
Future Blog Posts:
In the future, I will hope to post every other week to shine light on the stories of women from around the world, beyond just the United States. From the world's first female Prime Minister, who is from Sri Lanka, to the first woman elected as chief of a major Native tribe, specifically Cherokee Nation, these are a couple of the stories I hope to inform you about in the future.
WHM Trivia - My App:
In honor of Women's History Month, I created an app with daily trivia questions that centered around 31 women over the course of March. The app also includes a daily motivational widget with quotes and illustrations. I will continue adding and adapting this app, and I hope you choose to download and play the app each day to continue learning about women's history.
L.E.A.P. - The App:
I originally developed this app to work in tandem with this LEAP blog, and you can find more information about L.E.A.P. on "The App" section of this website. The app is a place for you to store accomplishments, receive reminders to achieve your goals, and get motivational messages every Monday.
Merchandise:
Over the past couple of years, one of my passions has grown to be graphic design. I enjoy opening up Adobe Illustrator and creating pieces of art that represent some of my interests. Currently, the "Shop" tab on this website has a link to some of the stickers I have designed on RedBubble, including the one shown in the cover image of this post. I hope to continue to design and post more stickers on there to spread the message of women's empowerment.
